The Tokyo Metropolitan Government, aiming to unlock the potential of vacant houses as regional resources, is advancing the 'TOKYO Akiya Utilization and Attractiveness Promotion Project'※ in collaboration with municipalities in the Nishitama and Island regions, renovating vacant homes into housing for relocation and settlement.
The renovation of a single-story vacant house in Okutama Town has now been completed. The town will begin accepting applications for residents for this first project case, managed as a municipal rental housing, as detailed below.

1. Property for Resident Recruitment
(1) Name: Kotaba Takenodaira (Kotaba Takenodaira) Housing (Municipal Youth Housing)
(2) Location: 388 Kotaba, Takenodaira, Okutama Town
(3) Structure: Wooden single-story building
(4) Total floor area: 88.81㎡
(5) Usage fee: 38,000 JPY per month
2. Eligibility Criteria
(1) Households where the head of household is a couple aged 40 or under, or a couple (or single parent) aged 50 or under with children in middle school or younger
(2) Applicants must reside outside the town at the time of application
* Applicants are expected to cooperate, within reasonable limits, with media interviews, promotional videos, and interior photography conducted by Tokyo for publicizing this project.
