Migalo Holdings Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Sei Nakanishi; Securities Code: 5535; hereinafter 'Migalo HD'), a company creating new value through the integration of 'digital' and 'real,' announces that its group company, DXYZ Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Sei Nakanishi; hereinafter 'DXYZ'), has piloted its facial recognition ID platform 'FreeiD (FreeD)' for entry and payment services at the 84th Waseda-Keio Basketball Regular Match held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at the National Yoyogi Stadium Second Gymnasium.
This pilot targeted alumni and alumnae of the Keio University Athletic Association Basketball Club. Using facial recognition entry 'FreeiD Reserve' and facial recognition payment 'FreeiD Pay,' attendees could enter the venue and make purchases inside without carrying tickets or wallets—completing the entire experience with just their face. This enhanced convenience and allowed spectators to enjoy the game more freely than ever before. This marks the first time FreeiD has been introduced to student sports.
※ FreeiD Users: Approximately 150 members of the Keio University Athletic Association Basketball Club alumni and their families
※ Entry gates are separated into general, student, Keio basketball alumni, and Waseda basketball alumni categories. Facial recognition entry via FreeiD was implemented exclusively at the Keio basketball alumni gate.
Background of FreeiD Implementation at the Waseda-Keio Basketball Match
The Waseda-Keio Basketball Regular Match is a traditional annual rivalry game between Waseda University and Keio University. While the 84th edition this year attracts many attendees annually, challenges have existed for both organizers and visitors, such as congestion during ticket checks and cash handling at merchandise purchases.
To address these issues and create an environment where attendees can focus more on enjoying the game, the decision was made to introduce the facial recognition ID platform 'FreeiD.' This initial rollout serves as a pilot targeting Keio University basketball alumni, offering both facial recognition entry and payment in a single integrated service. This is the first time FreeiD has been provided for student sports events.
Going forward, based on this year’s results, the company plans to gradually expand the service to all attendees and explore deployment at other student sports events.

About the Facial Recognition ID Platform 'FreeiD'
FreeiD is a facial recognition ID platform that integrates various IDs such as keys, wallets, and identification documents into the face. With a single facial registration, users can access entry/exit control, payments, and identity verification. By making the face the ID, individuals can seamlessly use various locations and services without carrying keys or cards.
FreeiD aims to transform facial recognition from a mere authentication technology into infrastructure that connects people with homes, offices, stores, and cities.
FreeiD envisions a society where living, working, and playing in a city with just your face becomes the norm—expanding everyone’s sense of belonging.
"My place in the world expands through the city. FreeiD"
For multi-unit residential buildings, DXYZ offers the 'FreeiD Mansion' solution, launching Japan’s first 'All-Facial Recognition Mansion®'—where no keys are needed from shared areas like entrances and elevators to private units, realizing 'living with just your face.' (As of end-June 2026, 423 buildings with FreeiD have been completed.)
※ 'All-Facial Recognition®,' 'All-Facial Recognition Mansion®,' and 'Face-Only®' are registered trademarks of DXYZ Co., Ltd.
The Migalo Holdings Group, together with its subsidiary DXYZ, will continue to create new businesses that accelerate the fusion of real and digital worlds—such as providing smart city solutions using facial recognition platforms—and connect various real-world services within the digital realm.
