Mirai Works announced that it has been awarded Kanagawa Prefecture's 'External Digital Talent Sharing' contract for FY2026. The company will assign professional experts to six projects within the prefecture to support the acceleration of digital transformation (DX) and improve administrative services.
Background
Promoting DX, including the digitalization of administrative procedures and the standardization of local government information systems, is an urgent challenge for municipalities nationwide. However, many municipalities struggle to secure personnel with specialized knowledge and face difficulties in building independent implementation structures.
In response to these challenges, Kanagawa Prefecture is identifying the support needs of municipalities within its jurisdiction and promoting initiatives to actively utilize and share external digital talent.
Mirai Works operates the side-job matching service 'Skill Shift,' which connects local governments with excellent side-job professionals from urban areas to support the resolution of various regional challenges. Leveraging its accumulated expertise, the company will support the prefecture's digital talent sharing initiative, thereby accelerating DX across Kanagawa.
