Miraiya Shoten (Headquarters: Mihama-ku, Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture; President: Masataka Hirakawa) is holding the '2nd Miraiya Aoharu Literature Award,' centered on the theme of 'youth.'

This award recognizes youth novels that bookstore staff nationwide want to deliver to the 10-to-20-year-old demographic. The scope of the award covers diverse themes of 'youth,' including school life, conflicts about the future, sense of social distance, finding one's place, challenges toward dreams, and the lingering emotions of not quite being an adult.

Based on nominations and voting by staff at Miraiya Shoten branches across the country, 13 titles have been chosen as nominees for the 2nd Miraiya Aoharu Literature Award, ranging from children's literature to general fiction.

The grand prize winner is scheduled to be announced on Friday, July 17, 2026, and will be featured in all Miraiya Shoten stores starting that day.
