Miraiyashoten Transforms into a Cool Retreat this Summer with 'Taking a Break in a Sea of Books' Campaign.

Miraiyashoten Co., Ltd. is launching a national summer 2026 campaign, 'Taking a Break in a Sea of Books,' in collaboration with Niigata-born picture book author Kota.

The project features store posters showcasing Kota's custom-drawn illustrations across all Miraiyashoten locations nationwide, along with various promotions including limited-edition gifts and app-based campaigns.

Enjoy a gentle, cool atmosphere as if you've wandered into a 'sea of books' every time you visit the store.

This collaboration originated from a workshop held during the renovation of the Miraiyashoten Niigata Kameda Inter store (formerly Niigata Minami store) in March 2026. Kota's work, created on-site, was well-received by many customers, leading to the desire to 'share this worldview with more people,' which resulted in its expansion into a national-scale summer campaign.

Reading is more than just 'study' or 'information gathering'; it can be a time to rest your heart. This summer, Miraiyashoten will deliver gentle reading time to customers with the message, 'Taking a Break in a Sea of Books.'

① In-store Poster Display Starts: Early June 2026~ Summer campaign posters using custom visuals by Kota will be displayed at Miraiyashoten stores nationwide.

② Original Book Cover Distribution Starts: Saturday, June 20, 2026~ Customers purchasing eligible items during the period will receive an original book cover featuring Kota's illustrations.

③ Original Fan Distribution Distribution Period: Saturday, August 8 to Sunday, August 16, 2026 To coincide with the summer holidays, original fans featuring Kota's illustrations will be distributed.

④ Miraiya App Promotion Duration: Double mibon points every Saturday and Sunday in June 2026 The 'Taking a Break in a Sea of Books' visual will also be featured in various campaigns within the Miraiyashoten app.
