Mitsubishi HC Capital Inc. (President and CEO: Daiki Kudo) has been selected for the 'SEA Leaderboard'—the highest rating—in the 2025 'Supplier Engagement Assessment (SEA)' conducted by the international non-profit environmental organization CDP (headquartered in the UK). This marks the company's first-ever selection.
The 'Supplier Engagement Assessment' evaluates how companies address climate change issues throughout their supply chain and effectively collaborate with their suppliers. Companies that achieve the highest rating are named to the 'SEA Leaderboard.' In 2025, approximately 2,000 companies worldwide (including about 400 Japanese firms) were selected.
The Mitsubishi HC Capital Group has identified six materialities that should be prioritized for sustainable growth, including the 'promotion of a decarbonized society.' Based on these materialities, the company is advancing various initiatives to realize a carbon-neutral society by 2050.
Furthermore, the Group has positioned its response to climate change at the core of its medium- to long-term management strategy and has formulated and disclosed a 'Transition Plan for the Realization of a Carbon-Neutral Society' (hereinafter 'Transition Plan'). In implementing this plan, the company recognizes that effective, tangible action throughout the entire supply chain—not just within the company itself—is essential, and thus emphasizes dialogue and collaboration with its suppliers.
The company believes that these supplier engagement initiatives, centered on the transition plan, led to this selection for the 'SEA Leaderboard.'
Moving forward, the Group will continue to steadily advance its response to climate change through collaboration with suppliers, while working to improve information disclosure to increase transparency and contribute to the realization of a sustainable society.
