Mitsubishi Shokuhin Co., Ltd. announced that starting Tuesday, June 2, it will launch the 'Yamagata Sato Nishiki Cherry Sour' chuhai, created in collaboration with 'Co-Trip,' the popular travel guide book series by Shobunsha Publications, Inc.

'J-CRAFT TRIP' is a brand built on the concept of 'chuhai that makes you want to travel,' delivering the deliciousness of fruits grown across Japan and a relaxing, travel-like experience. This ninth collaboration with 'Co-Trip'—a travel media brand that 'delivers small happiness to travelers'—features cherry flavor. The Yamagata Sato Nishiki Cherry Sour uses premium 'Sato Nishiki' cherries from Yamagata Prefecture. The taste recreates the fresh fruitiness and delicate juiciness of Sato Nishiki. Furthermore, hoping this sour will act as an incentive to travel to Yamagata, the packaging is designed based on the cover of the 'Co-Trip Yamagata (Yonezawa, Tsuruoka, Sakata)' guidebook.

About Sato Nishiki: Born in 1912 (Taisho 1) in Higashine City, Yamagata Prefecture, after more than 10 years of development by Eisuke Sato, this is Japan’s representative cherry variety. It is characterized by a perfect harmony of intense sweetness and balanced acidity, with abundant juice and a refined, juicy texture. Due to its high quality, it is known as the 'King of Cherries.'
