Our consolidated subsidiary, Mitsuuroko Green Energy Co., Ltd., has installed grid-scale batteries on land owned by our group company in Kitahiroshima, Hokkaido, and began operations on June 1, 2026, as part of efforts to promote renewable energy as a primary power source and stabilize the power grid. This battery station has been selected for the 'FY2024 Subsidy for Projects to Support the Introduction of Power Storage Systems such as Grid-Scale Batteries' supervised by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Agency for Natural Resources and Energy. Furthermore, this station will be operated by Mitsuuroko Green Energy using the next-generation integrated power system 'Integrated Power Control Central (IPoCC)'. In Japan, while the adoption of renewable energy is expanding toward achieving carbon neutrality by 2050, the fluctuation in power generation due to weather conditions poses challenges for balancing power supply and demand and maintaining grid stability.
