Welding Technology Encouragement Award

Shota Shimizu, Production Engineering Department

The Welding Technology Encouragement Award, established in October 1988, is presented by branch heads to individuals who have made significant achievements in research, development, improvement, or practical application of welding and joining technologies.

Shota Shimizu was recognized for his accomplishments in applying laser welding to Miura Industry products and conducting optimization research through 3D additive manufacturing.

Welding Technology Promotion Award

Chiharu Habu, Production Quality Department

The Welding Technology Promotion Award, established in November 1990, is presented by branch heads to individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the dissemination and development of welding and joining technology through lectures, workshops, technical tours, and exhibition planning.

Chiharu Habu was awarded for her contributions to skill enhancement among welding operators, including organizing the Miura Group Welding Competition, providing instruction to high school students, and promoting the acquisition of welding certifications.
