MODERN SKY JAPAN Inc. (Location: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Akinori Makino) announced today, April 1st (Wednesday), that filmmaker Mio Asatsuki has officially joined the next-generation produce unit "Ao wa Tomare" as a member.

Asatsuki is a creator who excels in a wide range of visual expressions, including animation, illustration, and video production. She has been involved in many of "Ao wa Tomare's" previous works. Notably, the Music Video for "Shijima no Hate," featuring animation, video, and information expression using QR codes, garnered high praise and won the Gold Award in the On-Screen Experience division at the "Technical Direction Awards" hosted by the Technical Directors Association. This work was recognized for its cutting-edge creativity, both in name and reality, for "Ao wa Tomare."

With the addition of the talented creator Mio Asatsuki as a full member, "Ao wa Tomare" is expected to produce even more innovative creative works in the future.

A two-member music unit "Ao wa Tomare" by composer Iotasu (born 2001) and vocalist Aohada (born 2005).

Both have roots in Vocaloid music, with Iotasu active as a Vocaloid P and Aohada as a singer. They formed the unit in 2022 after Iotasu asked Aohada to sing one of his songs.

The artist name "Ao wa Tomare" carries the meaning, "While a red light means you must stop, you don't have to choose to go even if it's a green light."
