Morisawa Inc. (President: Akihiko Morisawa; Headquarters: Osaka) has partnered with the City of Sapporo (Mayor: Katsuhiro Akimoto), the NoMaps Executive Committee (Chair: Hiroyuki Ito), and the Graduate School of Social Design (President: Koji Yoshikuni) to launch the 'Sapporo-Based Corporate Value Concept Project.'

A joint press conference was held in Sapporo on June 2, 2026. This public-private co-creation project aims to refine brand value and generate new value from Sapporo. In an era of rapid environmental change and diversifying market values, consistent branding that clarifies an organization's purpose is essential. This six-month practical research program helps participants redefine their brand concepts and develop strategic brand plans based on their core philosophies and visions.

Morisawa is participating to support the brand value enhancement of regional companies. Leveraging its expertise in fonts and information design, the company will provide lectures on the role of fonts in branding and universal design for information. The project is funded by Morisawa's donation to the City of Sapporo through the Corporate Hometown Tax system.

The research program will run from August 2026 to January 2027, consisting of 10 sessions held in Sapporo and online, focusing on internal and external branding strategies.
