SIXPAD Foot Fit 3 Series Certified as 'ME-BYO BRAND' by Kanagawa Prefecture and Selected for the Kanagawa ME-BYO Living Lab Demonstration Project

Furthermore, we are pleased to announce that a joint research project using this product with Yokohama City University has been selected for the FY2025 Kanagawa ME-BYO Living Lab demonstration project.

SIXPAD will continue to collaborate with local governments, medical institutions, and research organizations to promote the social implementation of solutions for improving "ME-BYO" (the state between health and illness), contributing to the realization of vibrant lives for people around the world.

Overview of "ME-BYO BRAND"

By certifying excellent ME-BYO-related products and services as "ME-BYO BRAND," Kanagawa Prefecture aims to promote the appeal of the ME-BYO industry and drive its industrialization. Certification is awarded to products expected to contribute to the visualization and improvement of ME-BYO in areas such as lifestyle habits, life functions, mental health/stress, and cognitive function, thereby leading to changes in awareness and behavior among residents.

The "Foot Fit 3 Series" was certified for its innovative functionality that allows simultaneous stimulation of the soles, calves, and anterior tibialis muscles via EMS*1, as well as its design that allows even elderly individuals with difficulty exercising to continue usage without strain.

Overview of the "Kanagawa ME-BYO Living Lab" Demonstration Project

The Kanagawa ME-BYO Living Lab is an initiative that supports demonstration sites within local communities and workplaces so that residents can engage in ME-BYO improvement with greater peace of mind. The prefecture selects demonstration plans and conducts post-implementation evaluations, supporting the acquisition of scientific evidence and the construction of social implementation models in collaboration with local governments, medical institutions, and research organizations.

The joint research project with Yokohama City University using SIXPAD, titled "A Randomized Controlled Trial on the Effects of EMS Therapy on Improving Walking Function in Elderly Individuals Capable of Independent Walking," has been selected for the FY2025 demonstration project.
