'Aquarium is Not Dancing Special Edition' Wins 2nd Place in Dengeki Indie Awards 2026 (Overall & ADV Category)!

Frontier Works Inc. announced that 'Aquarium is Not Dancing Special Edition' won 2nd place in both the Adventure category and the overall ranking at the 'Dengeki Indie Awards 2026' (hosted by Dengeki Online), announced on May 28 and 29. The 'Dengeki Indie Awards 2026' is a voting project to determine the best indie game titles released between April 1, 2025, and March 31, 2026. To commemorate the award, an original illustration by the author, Daidai, has been received. Currently, a 20% OFF sale is being held on the Steam store and Nintendo e-shop. The sale period is until June 8, 2026, for the Steam version and until June 7, 2026, for the Switch version. 'Aquarium is Not Dancing' is a free horror game released in February 2024, developed and completed over eight years by the author, Daidai, who dislikes horror. The 'Special Edition,' which added character voices and new scenarios, was released in August 2025, and the production of a new work was announced in February 2026. Various projects such as drama CD adaptations, manga serializations, merchandise, collaborations, and puzzle-solving events are being developed, and the buzz continues to grow.
