Mynavi Teens Lab, operated by Mynavi Corporation, has released a survey titled 'Survey on the Relationship Between Gen Z Subordinates and Gen Y Managers.' The study targeted first-year Gen Z employees and Gen Y managers aged 35-49, covering topics such as workplace communication, performance evaluation, social gatherings, and harassment awareness. The survey revealed that 'using AI like ChatGPT' is the most common method for improving communication, suggesting that AI is becoming a standard resource for advice. While both generations agree that 'job satisfaction' is key to motivation, there is a clear gap in evaluation criteria: Gen Z prioritizes 'results and growth processes,' whereas Gen Y managers value 'humanity and teamwork.' Furthermore, while one in four Gen Z employees is reluctant to attend social gatherings, about 70% of Gen Y managers have refrained from private conversations or social events due to concerns about harassment, highlighting the cautious approach both sides are taking in their professional relationships.
