Mynavi Corporation has implemented its 'Mynavi Group Environment Month' for June, which includes the launch of a three-year reforestation project and environmental education for employees.
To maintain a social infrastructure where people can study and work with peace of mind, the Mynavi Group has identified 'addressing climate change' as one of its five priority materiality issues for realizing a sustainable society. Through these initiatives, the company aims to promote individual understanding and action among employees, seeking to balance sustainable business growth with contributions to society and the environment.
Overview of 'Mynavi Group Environment Month'
Recognizing the impact of climate change on natural disasters and society, the Mynavi Group has prioritized 'addressing climate change' as one of its five material issues.
To maintain a secure social foundation, the company is advancing initiatives linked to business activities, such as environmental conservation, CO₂ emissions reduction, and promotion of resource circulation.
In Japan, June is designated as 'Environment Month,' aligned with World Environment Day on June 5th, serving as a critical opportunity to consider and begin taking environmental actions.
The Mynavi Group has positioned June as 'Mynavi Group Environment Month' annually since 2023.
Various activities have been conducted, including sustainability-themed e-learning and seminars featuring experts, to raise employee awareness and encourage concrete actions.
This year's theme is 'Creating Forests, Creating Society.' Moving beyond the stage of 'understanding' environmental issues, the company encourages employees to proactively participate in three-year reforestation and 3R activities, connecting consideration for 'society' and the 'environment' to tangible actions.
Initiatives for 2026
### ① Reforestation: Investing in Regions and the Future As a three-year initiative, the company creates opportunities for employees to deepen their understanding of natural cycles and biodiversity through a staged process from seedling cultivation to planting. In the first year, seedlings will be cultivated at the headquarters to foster understanding of the forest's role. From the second year onward, reforestation activities including these seedlings will be carried out to translate learning into practical experience.
This year, the program includes live-streamed seminars and mandatory online learning for all employees to learn about the roles of Japanese forests in water conservation, disaster mitigation, and CO₂ absorption, deepening understanding of how these factors support public life and social activities.
### ② Promoting Resource Circulation: 3R Initiatives from Daily Actions Through the promotion of 3Rs within the company, employee-participatory measures are being deployed to reduce waste and promote resource circulation.
In addition to existing efforts such as promoting the use of the company’s internal equipment sharing tool 'My-Cari' (reuse/reduce) and recycling used clear files, this year the company newly implemented an environmental measure to collect, reuse, and recirculate unneeded clothing.
Collected clothing is resold, with proceeds donated to children in need. Through these efforts, the company aims to expand opportunities for employees to engage in resource circulation in their daily lives and contribute to a circular society.
Comments from the Project Lead
'While the Mynavi Group has implemented the company-wide 'Mynavi Group Environment Month' since 2024, climate change response can sometimes feel distant for employees dealing primarily with information. However, our services—supporting learning, working, and careers—only function within a stable global environment. Therefore, in these initiatives, we prioritize opportunities that lead to action rather than just 'knowing' the background, such as raising seedlings or being conscious of resource circulation in daily life.
We hope this Environment Month serves as a catalyst where each individual's small awareness and actions lead to significant change.'
