Mynavi Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Shunsuke Awai) has announced the results of the 'Mynavi 2027 Graduate University Student Career Intention Survey (June Edition) – Job Hunting and Career Decisions,' conducted among university and graduate students nationwide who are expected to graduate in 2027.
<TOPICS> ◆ The pre-offer holding rate in June was 81.2%, a 1.6 percentage point decrease from the same month last year [Figures 1, 2]
◆ The job hunting continuation rate, including those without pre-offers, was 37.8%, up 2.2 percentage points from the same month last year [Figures 3, 4]
◆ Among students continuing job hunting, the proportion planning to continue until the 'end of September' has increased—possibly with awareness of the October 1st formal job offer ceremony [Figures 5, 6]
[Survey Overview] ◆ Pre-offer holding rate in June decreased by 1.6 percentage points from the previous year to 81.2% The pre-offer holding rate for students expected to graduate in 2027 was 81.2% in June, down 1.6 percentage points from the same month last year. Compared to the previous month (76.4%), it increased slightly by 4.8 percentage points. By academic discipline, humanities students recorded 77.8% (a 3.6 percentage point decrease from the previous year), below the previous year's level, while science students recorded 86.5% (a 1.4 percentage point increase), surpassing the previous year. ◆ Job hunting continuation rate including those without pre-offers increased by 2.2 percentage points to 37.8% The job hunting continuation rate※1, including those without pre-offers, reached 37.8% (up 2.2 percentage points from the same month last year), indicating a slightly higher proportion of students continuing their job search compared to the previous year. By academic discipline, humanities students showed 46.1% (up 4.8 percentage points), exceeding the previous year, while science students showed 24.9% (down 1.8 percentage points), slightly below the previous year. [Figure 4]
◆ Among students continuing job hunting, the proportion planning to continue until the 'end of September' has increased—possibly with awareness of the October 1st formal job offer ceremony
When students who reported continuing job hunting were asked until when they planned to continue, for those holding pre-offers, 'until the end of July' was the highest at 38.4%, but this was down 8.1 percentage points from the previous year. In contrast, 'until the end of August' (28.2% / up 5.4 percentage points from the previous year) and 'until the end of September' (15.2% / up 5.8 percentage points) both increased compared to the previous year. Among those without pre-offers, 'until the end of July' (22.8% / up 4.0 percentage points) was the highest, and 'until the end of September' (16.5%) also increased by 6.8 percentage points from the previous year. Given that the proportion of students expressing 'anxiety about job hunting' has increased from the previous year among both those without pre-offers and those with pre-offers※2, it appears students are extending their job search period to identify a satisfying employer. Additionally, the concentration of job hunting end dates at the end of September suggests awareness of October 1st, when formal job offer ceremonies are typically held. [Figures 5, 6]

[Researcher Commentary]
The pre-offer holding rate for 2027 graduates as of the end of June was 81.2%, indicating that many students are entering the stage of deciding their employment destination. At the same time, the job hunting continuation rate is 37.8%, exceeding the previous year. Furthermore, the proportion of students planning to continue job hunting until the 'end of September' is increasing, suggesting they may be viewing the formal job offer ceremony on October 1st as a milestone. We encourage job-seeking students to focus on their personal values and future visions, making employment decisions with full satisfaction, rather than being swayed by the circumstances around them.
