Nakabayashi Launches Document Digitization Service for Private Companies, Leveraging Expertise Gained from Government Agencies, and Introduces "Hitohako Pre-Survey Service" for Implementation Support

Nakabayashi Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Chuo-ku, Osaka; President: Kazuyoshi Nakabayashi) will begin offering its document digitization services, cultivated through work with government agencies and libraries, to private companies starting July 2026.

In recent years, companies have been increasingly required to digitize paper documents and streamline document management in line with DX promotion. To address these challenges, we will leverage the technology and know-how in document digitization that we have accumulated through our work with government agencies and libraries to provide services tailored to each company's specific issues.

As an implementation support menu, we launched the free "Hitohako Pre-Survey Service" in July 2026, which allows for a preliminary assessment of the current state of paper documents and estimation of digitization costs.

"Hitohako Pre-Survey Service"

The "Hitohako Pre-Survey Service" is a service that surveys and selects paper documents stored by companies, such as past public documents, contracts, and architectural drawings, starting from one box of documents. Based on the survey results, we create a report with cost estimates categorized by patterns according to the purpose and method of document management.

We also provide sample images in color, grayscale, and monochrome, and staff with the qualification of "Document Information Manager"* will create and propose the optimal selection method, including consideration of the best digitization specifications, budget, and priorities.

This service can be easily started as the first step in a company's DX initiative. *Document Information Manager: A specialized qualification certified by the Japan Document Information Management Association (JIIMA), a public interest incorporated association. It signifies specialized knowledge in document digitization, storage, and management, as well as related laws and standards.
