Naps Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Yokohama, Kanagawa; President & CEO: Mayuki Mochizuki; hereinafter "Naps"), a company engaged in the retail and development of motorcycle products, will implement early morning and nighttime operating events in August 2026 as part of its heatwave countermeasures.

Background

Riders face a harsh reality in summer. Riding during peak daytime hours, combined with wearing helmets and riding gear, reflected heat from asphalt, and engine heat, can result in a perceived temperature exceeding 40°C. In recent years, many riders have shifted their riding habits to avoid midday, opting instead for early morning or nighttime tours.

Since beginning sales of motorcycle products over 60 years ago, Naps has contributed to enhancing riders’ motorcycle lifestyles. We believe our mission extends beyond selling products—to creating an environment where riders can continue enjoying motorcycling. That is why this summer, we are aligning our store hours directly with riders’ needs. By offering PIT services from 6 AM and extending store operations until midnight, Naps is expanding its business hours to match riders’ riding times and eagerly awaits your visit.

Success of the 'Late-Night Operation' Event Until Midnight

Naps previously conducted three late-night operating events in August 2025, extending regular business hours until midnight. The events were highly successful. While the average number of customers visiting Naps stores nationwide after 6 PM during regular periods is approximately 970, on the first late-night event day, post-6 PM visits surged to about 6,800—nearly seven times higher. Many riders enjoying night rides stopped by before and after their tours, enjoying the unique atmosphere of Naps during these special hours.

Measures Taken to Ensure the Success of 'Late-Night Operations'

We did not proceed with these events solely for our own benefit. Considering the surrounding environments of each store, we shortened operating hours or opted not to hold events at certain locations. Additionally, we asked riders to be mindful of engine noise and other disturbances upon arrival. With these maximum precautions in place, and thanks to the cooperation and understanding of both visiting riders and nearby residents, we successfully conducted the late-night operations.

New Initiative This Summer: 'Early Morning Operation'

Building on the success of late-night operations, this summer we will introduce early morning operations. Although advance reservations are required, we will begin PIT services at 6 AM to support vehicle maintenance and customization for riders departing during cooler morning hours. Amid the forecasted record heatwave in summer 2026, we are committed to supporting riders’ comfortable and safe touring experiences.
