Zenkoku Kensetsu Jinzai Kyokai (Zenken), a general incorporated association licensed by Japan's Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare for construction worker placement (Permit No. 13-ke-300001), introduces Ryuto Waga, 25, who joined Nihon Toshi Kaihatsu (Morioka, Iwate) as a skilled worker on July 1, 2025. Waga holds the title of Assistant Manager in the Construction Department. After graduating from Omagari Technical School in March 2022 and working as a carpenter, he sought better work-life balance including improved salary and more annual holidays. Zenken's representative contacted him promptly, provided tailored job listings for carpenter-to-carpenter transitions, and accompanied him to the interview. Currently, Waga leads a three-person team including a Vietnamese apprentice and a new hire, managing material procurement and on-site inspections for Nihon Jyutaku group projects using the 2x4 framing method. His goals include obtaining the Framed Wall Construction Technician certification and becoming a master carpenter trusted with diverse job sites. His supervisor Tomochika Watanabe praised his punctuality and growth from apprentice to master carpenter.
