(1) Aircraft Movements✈️
International passenger flight movements remained strong across routes including South Korea, Taiwan, Europe, and Oceania. However, due to declines in China (1,390 flights, 57% YoY), Guam (190 flights, 64% YoY), and other Asian routes (3,585 flights, 95% YoY), the total was 13,750 (98% YoY).
Middle Eastern routes recovered significantly to 201 flights (84% YoY) from 71 flights (29% YoY) the previous month.
(2) Passenger Numbers 🚶➡️
Due to sustained demand for travel to Japan, international passenger numbers reached 2.937 million (101% YoY), the second-highest level for April since 2019.
Japanese passenger numbers were 601,000 (109% YoY), continuing a trend of year-on-year growth since April 2021.
Foreign passenger numbers were 2.212 million (98% YoY), following the trend of flight movements.
(3) Cargo Trends 📦
International air cargo volume was 181,000 tons (111% YoY), marking the 25th consecutive month of year-on-year growth.
