Professor at the Center for Japanese Language Education, Waseda University. Completed the doctoral program at the Graduate School of Japanese Language Education, Waseda University, and holds a Ph.D. in Japanese Language Education. Currently serves as President of the Society for Research in Language and Cultural Education, and is engaged in research on Japanese language education, dialogue activities, and career development for learners. His books include "Japanese Language Education to Support Learners' Self-Formation and Self-Realization" (Koko Publishing).

Yoshiko Kubota

A researcher specializing in Japanese language education. Gained practical experience both domestically and internationally, working in Japanese language education at the Japan Foundation Japanese-Language Institute and the Japan Cultural Centre in Cologne, Germany. Later served as a professor at Mejiro University before becoming a (fixed-term) professor at the Center for Japanese Language Education, Waseda University. Her main research areas include learner beliefs, Japanese language teaching methods, and practical research in Japanese language education.
