SBI Sumishin Net Bank Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Noriaki Maruyama; hereinafter 'the Company') announces the expansion of services provided by its banking agents, including the introduction of account opening guidance, in preparation for its planned rebranding to 'dodoct SMTB Net Bank, Ltd.' on Monday, August 3, 2026. This initiative aims to strengthen real-world touchpoints with individual customers.

|Background and Objectives

As an internet-exclusive bank, the Company has consistently delivered convenient financial services and earned strong customer support. In the housing loan sector, it ranked No. 1 among Japanese banks in new loan disbursements for the 2024 fiscal year※2.

A significant portion of customer consultations and applications has been handled through 75 nationwide branches operated by banking agents affiliated with the Company. These agents have played a crucial role in meeting customer demand for face-to-face consultations. However, until now, their services have been primarily limited to housing loans.

To further enhance the value of in-person channels, the Company will expand the scope of services offered by banking agents. In addition to housing loans, agents will now be able to provide guidance on opening bank accounts and support for mobile app usage※3. In the future, the Company plans to offer comprehensive banking services in person, beyond just housing loans.

This integration aims to deliver financial services that combine the trust and reassurance of face-to-face interactions with the convenience of digital technology, making banking more accessible and user-friendly.

|Future Plans

This initiative will be rolled out gradually, starting with banking agents capable of supporting the expanded services, with plans to extend it to more agents over time.

Under its new name, 'dodoct SMTB Net Bank,' the Company will leverage:

- Its established technology infrastructure - NTT Docomo Group’s customer touchpoints and service platforms - The trust and financial expertise of the Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Group

Through a hybrid model combining online and in-person services, the Company will further expand its customer engagement.

SBI Sumishin Net Bank, as 'dodoct SMTB Net Bank,' will continue to integrate the strengths of digital and physical channels to provide banking services that are closer to customers and inspire greater confidence and ease of use.
