The "Aim for Zero Heatstroke" project, promoted by the Japan Meteorological Association (Headquarters: Toshima-ku, Tokyo; Director General: Gaku Moriya; hereinafter referred to as "JMA"), will launch the "Correct Knowledge and Preparation for Every Lifestyle Scene! Aim for Zero Heatstroke Campaign" (hereinafter referred to as "this campaign") starting July 3, 2026 (Fri).

To prevent heatstroke, it is important not only to acquire basic knowledge but also to practice preparation and countermeasures in daily life. This campaign aims to widely promote measures tailored to scenes where attention to heatstroke is necessary, such as "indoors," "working outdoors," and "going out."

To enter, follow the official X account of the "Aim for Zero Heatstroke" project (@netsuzero2013) and repost the campaign target post. Ten winners will be selected by lottery to receive a set of heatstroke prevention goods provided by the 2026 "Aim for Zero Heatstroke" official partners.

Regions that will experience the end of the rainy season in July need to be aware of the sudden onset of intense heat. Caution is particularly required not only outdoors but also in indoor environments that tend to become hot and humid, and in situations where one sweats due to work or leisure activities. By consciously taking basic measures such as frequent hydration, adequate salt intake, and creating a cool environment, you can protect yourself and others from heatstroke.

The official website of the "Aim for Zero Heatstroke" project will sequentially release information related to each lifestyle scene in conjunction with this campaign under "Related News (https://www.netsuzero.jp/news)".

The "Aim for Zero Heatstroke" project, together with its official partners, will continue activities to encourage heatstroke prevention "actions" by each individual through this campaign.

About the "Aim for Zero Heatstroke" Project

The "Aim for Zero Heatstroke" project is promoted by the Japan Meteorological Association with the goal of reducing the number of people who suffer from heatstroke and achieving zero fatalities. Since the project's launch in the summer of 2013, it has been engaged in activities to inform more people about the correct knowledge and countermeasures for heatstroke, centered on disseminating weather information that significantly influences the occurrence of heatstroke. In 2026, its 14th year, the project's theme is "Supporting those responsible for heatstroke prevention," and it will implement awareness activities for heatstroke prevention. With the increasing severity of heat in recent years, the importance of supporting care personnel for heatstroke prevention is growing socially, with companies being obligated to implement heatstroke countermeasures since June 2025. The project disseminates information to support awareness-raising for those in positions of oversight within organizations and society, thereby enhancing disaster preparedness awareness across society.
