Circle is a map-based service that displays the locations of surplus materials, stagnant inventory, and used construction materials, connecting them with designers and companies in need. The goal is to circulate materials generated from demolition, renovation, exhibitions, and events into new projects. A key feature is the ability to grasp fragmented material information across projects based on location data. In the architecture and design industry, many materials and fixtures are discarded in short periods due to renovations, demolitions, and events, yet there is a lack of information infrastructure for designers to efficiently find reusable materials. Consequently, usable materials are often discarded instead of being circulated.
