Changhua Bank (2801-TW) has released its latest self-reported earnings, showing robust performance in the first half of the year from January to June. The bank achieved a cumulative after-tax net profit of NT$11.314 billion, representing a 23.9% year-on-year increase. Earnings per share (EPS) reached NT$0.94, while pre-tax EPS stood at NT$1.09, both setting new historical highs for the first half.

The strong profit growth was primarily driven by dividend income, combined with steady earnings from core operations including deposits, loans, and other key business lines, which collectively boosted overall operational performance.

Alongside profit growth, Changhua Bank is deepening its commitment to sustainable finance by launching a paperless e-billing promotion from now until December 31. During the campaign period, cardholders who sign up for e-billing, complete one general transaction, and maintain the setting through year-end will receive a NT$50 cashback reward.

In a further effort to link environmental sustainability with social care, Changhua Bank will donate NT$12 to the Joyful Developmental Disabled Foundation for every new e-billing subscriber acquired during the campaign. This transforms carbon reduction from paperless operations into tangible support for vulnerable communities.

Changhua Bank emphasized that e-billing significantly reduces carbon emissions and paper consumption associated with postal delivery while enhancing billing management convenience, making it a direct and effective way to achieve decarbonization. Through this initiative, the bank aims to accelerate the adoption of paperless systems, deepen digital financial transformation, and demonstrate its core values of balancing profitability with environmental protection and social responsibility—paving the way toward a sustainable future together with its customers.
