Casing manufacturer Catcher Technology (2474-TW) announced June revenue of NT$805 million, representing a 12.3% decrease month-on-month and a 55.1% drop year-on-year. Second-quarter 2023 revenue totaled NT$2.681 billion, down 29% quarter-on-quarter and 47.3% year-on-year. Cumulative revenue for the first half of 2023 reached NT$6.455 billion, down 31.6% year-on-year.
Catcher attributed the June revenue decline to tight electronic component supply, which impacted notebook product shipments. However, starting in June, certain AI projects began entering mass production. With AI-related products gradually ramping up, the company expects revenue to improve on a monthly basis beginning in July.
Looking ahead, Catcher stated that in addition to continued volume growth of existing AI products, other AI server projects are expected to enter mass production starting in the first quarter of 2027. On the PC front, AI PCs are anticipated to contribute significantly to revenue starting in the second quarter of next year, providing a key growth driver moving forward.
