PC brand Acer (2353-TW) announced today (10th) that its June revenue reached NT$27.82 billion, a 6.3% increase month-on-month. Benefiting from the continued expansion of AI applications and growth across diversified sectors, second-quarter revenue totaled NT$85.29 billion, up 28.2% year-on-year, marking the highest for the same period in 13 years.
Acer's June revenue was NT$27.818 billion, up 6.3% month-on-month but down 3% year-on-year. Second-quarter revenue reached NT$85.29 billion, up 17.8% quarter-on-quarter and 28.2% year-on-year. Cumulative revenue for the first half of the year reached NT$157.727 billion, up 23.3% year-on-year.
Acer highlighted key operational achievements this quarter: personal computer revenue increased 22.0% year-on-year in Q2 and 18.9% year-on-year for the first half, primarily driven by AI applications. Desktop computer revenue surged 57.3% year-on-year in Q2 and 38.0% for the first half. Gaming and gaming business revenue rose 5.6% year-on-year in Q2 and 14.9% for the first half. Commercial product revenue increased 47.3% year-on-year in Q2 and 41.2% for the first half. Tablet revenue grew 53.9% year-on-year in Q2 and 35.4% for the first half.
Acer stated that its strategy of building multiple business engines continues to gain momentum. All its publicly listed subsidiaries have released June revenue figures. The practical implementation of AI applications has become a key driver of market growth, demonstrating resilient revenue performance.
Notably, non-PC and non-display-related businesses accounted for 34.3% of second-quarter revenue and 34.5% of first-half cumulative revenue. These non-PC businesses saw revenue grow 48.2% year-on-year in Q2 and 38.9% for the first half. Acer Smart Access's revenue increased 45.5% year-on-year in Q2 and 75.5% for the first half.
