Pegatron (4938-TW) announced today (10th) its June revenue reached NT$91.296 billion. While slightly lower than May’s figure, it represents a year-on-year increase of 15.9%, driven by continued growth in its server business. Pegatron remains optimistic about sequential quarterly growth in servers and aims for a tenfold year-on-year increase in server revenue.
Pegatron’s June revenue totaled NT$91.296 billion, down 4.9% month-on-month but up 15.9% year-on-year. Second-quarter revenue reached NT$274.448 billion, up 12.4% quarter-on-quarter and 2.7% year-on-year. Cumulative revenue for the first half of the year reached NT$518.553 billion, down 3.9% year-on-year.
Regarding notebook shipments, Pegatron shipped 650,000 units in June, up 13.04% month-on-month but down 34.34% year-on-year. Second-quarter notebook shipments ranged between 1.7 million and 1.8 million units, down 2.78% quarter-on-quarter and 26.32% year-on-year.
Looking ahead to the second half, Pegatron noted that the peak season for consumer electronics falls in the third quarter, while communications products peak in the fourth quarter. Combined with continued sequential growth in server business, the company expects second-half performance to outperform the first half.
