Taiwan's stock market fluctuated today, but Wistron (3231-TW) and Wiwynn (6669-TW) continued to benefit from strong AI server momentum in the second half of the year. Foreign brokerage firms have raised their 2023 GPU and ASIC shipment forecasts and upgraded profit estimates, driving both companies' stock prices higher during trading.
Wistron opened at NT$142 this morning, peaking at NT$147—an increase of over half a trading band. Although gains later narrowed, the stock was trading at NT$144 by 11:20 a.m., up over 3%, with volume exceeding 36,000 lots. Institutional investors were net buyers last week, accumulating 2,262 shares in total.
Wiwynn opened at NT$4,725, rising to a high of NT$4,845—an increase of over 4%. As of 11:20 a.m., the stock was trading at NT$4,715, up approximately 2%, ranking sixth among Taiwan's 'thousand-dollar stocks' and one of the few to rise today, with trading volume around 900 lots.
Foreign brokers estimate Wistron's full-year shipments of NVIDIA (NVDA-US) NVL72 racks will increase to approximately 18,500 units. VR200 shipments are also strengthening, with fourth-quarter deliveries revised upward to 1,000 units. Wistron expects AI server demand to remain strong this year, with general-purpose servers also projected to grow at a double-digit percentage year-on-year.
For Wiwynn, outlooks from its four major North American clients—Microsoft (MSFT-US), Meta (META-US), Amazon (AMZN-US) AWS, and Oracle (ORCL-US)—are all positive. With AWS Trainium3 shipments ramping up in the second half, significant momentum is expected. Additionally, AMD (AMD-US) Helios rack shipments will commence, prompting foreign brokers to raise Wiwynn's profit forecasts.
