Seven financial institutions have joined forces to enhance Taiwan's technology industry and AI supply chain, with Changhua Bank (2801-TW) and Yuanta Bank co-leading a three-year NT$3.6 billion syndicated loan for Lontium Technology (3135-TW). The funding has been successfully raised and the agreement was formally signed today (20).

The loan proceeds will be used to strengthen mid-term working capital and procurement funding. Led by Changhua Bank and Yuanta Bank, and supported by Taiwan Business Bank, First Commercial Bank, Hua Nan Bank, Mega Bank, and Cooperative Bank, the consortium successfully raised the full NT$3.6 billion, demonstrating strong industry confidence in Lontium Technology’s outstanding operational performance and future growth potential.

Lontium Technology specializes in the application development and sales of DRAM and flash memory products. Under the leadership of Chairman Tseng Chen, the company has grown into a major memory module manufacturer with strong R&D capabilities and its own brand. In recent years, amid rapid global supply chain restructuring and rising international demand for high-end technology and innovative products, Lontium has demonstrated strong growth momentum and excellent market adaptability.

To seize global competitive advantages, securing stable and sufficient procurement funding has become crucial for maintaining high-efficiency production and enhancing supply chain resilience. With this NT$3.6 billion injection, Lontium is expected to optimize its financial structure, effectively reduce overall financing costs, and gain greater flexibility and core competitiveness in raw material procurement and forward-looking R&D strategies—laying a solid financial foundation for its next phase of leapfrog growth.

Changhua Bank has long been committed to industrial finance, actively supporting high-growth, globally competitive domestic enterprises. In recent years, it has also promoted ESG and green finance initiatives. The successful syndication not only highlights deep collaboration with cutting-edge high-tech firms but also injects vital support into Taiwan’s semiconductor supply chain restructuring and upgrading. Going forward, Changhua Bank will continue to work with banking consortium partners, corporate clients, and Taiwan’s industrial ecosystem to create a sustainable, win-win future for society, industry, and the environment.
