According to Russia's Sputnik News on the 20th (Monday), Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a presidential decree extending the visa-free entry policy for Chinese citizens until December 31, 2027.
Guo Jiakun, spokesperson for China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated at a press conference on May 20 that, in order to continuously facilitate personnel exchanges between China and Russia, China has decided to extend its visa-free policy for Russian citizens until December 31, 2027.
Under this policy, Russian passport holders entering China for business, tourism, visiting relatives or friends, exchange visits, or transit purposes, with stays not exceeding 30 days, may enter without a visa.
At the time, Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin Press Secretary, indicated that Russia would take reciprocal measures and extend its visa-free policy for Chinese citizens in response to China's extension.
