In the early trading session, driven by electronic heavyweights, silicon photonics, and the IPC group, the index once surged by 1,090 points, reaching a high of 45,323.75 points, breaking back above the 45,000-point mark and approaching the monthly line. However, later, TSMC's stock price turned from red to black, triggering market selling pressure and the upward momentum narrowed. The market finally closed at 44,825.78 points, up 592.91 points, with a trading volume of 982.645 billion yuan, failing to break the 1 trillion yuan mark for three consecutive days.
Electronic heavyweights showed mixed performance. TSMC (2330-TW) fell by 10 yuan, nearly 0.5%, closing at 2,400 yuan; MediaTek (2330-TW) closed at 254 yuan; MediaTek (2454-TW) rose by 180 yuan, nearly 5%, closing at 3,850 yuan; ASE Technology (3711-TW) rose by nearly 4%; Hon Hai (2317-TW), Delta Electronics (2308-TW) both rose by about 2%.
NVIDIA (NVDA-US) reported entering the 'dark fiber' market, igniting strong buying sentiment in the silicon photonics group. Leading stocks such as Lite-On Technology (6442-TW), LITE-ON Technology (3081-TW), Poyang Technology (3163-TW), Elitegroup Computer Systems (8111-TW), Panasonic (6830-TW), and World Wide (5347-TW) all surged.
The leading passive component company, Chi Mei (2327-TW), surged by nearly 9% during the session, leading the charge. Concept stocks such as Sinbon Electronics (2492-TW), Chiyuan Corporation (6449-TW), Taichung (2478-TW), Hua Rong (5328-TW), MiView Technology (8043-TW), and King Mountain Electronics (8072-TW) all surged.
The industrial computer group continued to strengthen for two days, with Advantech (6414-TW) and Advantech (6166-TW) both hitting the limit up, Advantech (2395-TW) rose by about 4%, and Advantech (6579-TW) rose by about 2%.
