AI video solutions provider AVer (3669-TW) is positioning itself in the blue ocean of the commercial drone market, focusing its R&D on the highest-value segment of the value chain—the 'AI Vision Brain'—which is expected to become a new growth engine. On the 22nd, the company's stock price gapped up to hit the daily limit, reclaiming both the 50-day and 200-day moving averages.
AVer CEO Yu-Ting Kuo stated that the company has long been deeply involved in the AI imaging market, and its expertise in Edge AI computing and image calibration is precisely the 'intelligent eye' needed for drones to cross into new industries. Through technology licensing and cross-industry collaborations, AVer aims to add long-term, high-growth, high-value operational momentum.
AVer's commercial drone strategy targets two core applications with the highest output value and growth potential. First is industrial and infrastructure inspection. Traditional power grid and pipeline inspections are costly and dangerous, prompting accelerated adoption of 'automatic docking stations' for remote monitoring.
AVer applies its precision PTZ mechanical control technology to drone gimbals, combined with a proprietary AI anti-vibration algorithm. Even in strong winds at high altitudes, the system enables precise detection of cracks and oil leaks using high-magnification optical zoom, helping enterprises reduce operational costs.
The second application is smart warehousing and indoor unmanned logistics. AVer notes that labor shortages are driving the automation of 'dark warehouses' (fully automated facilities), but drone recognition accuracy in low-light environments has remained a technical bottleneck.
Leveraging years of R&D in professional lenses, AVer has developed advanced low-light noise reduction and AI object recognition technologies. These enable drones to accurately identify barcodes, OCR characters, and shelf anomalies even in dimly lit high-ceiling environments, significantly improving inventory efficiency.
AVer emphasized that it has established a solid foundation in AI video solutions. By entering the commercial drone market with high-barrier Edge AI technology, the company is successfully extending its core capabilities into a new high-growth field—transforming this expansion into a key new engine for future revenue and profit growth.
