U.S. Central Command reported that on the evening of the 21st (Tuesday), Eastern Time, U.S. military forces completed strike operations against Iran for the 11th consecutive night.
U.S. Central Command's operational forces targeted Iranian military command centers, maritime operational facilities, aircraft hangars, drone storage sites, and military logistics infrastructure, aiming to further degrade Iran's ability to threaten commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.
Over the past three months, Iran has attacked more than 30 merchant vessels transiting this vital international waterway, crucial for regional and global trade. These unprovoked attacks have endangered the safety of hundreds of innocent crew members and undermined freedom of navigation.
Despite Iran's provocative actions, the Strait of Hormuz remains open. Since early May, U.S. Central Command forces have assisted approximately 900 merchant vessels and 450 million barrels of crude oil in safely transiting the strait.
