PC brand MSI (2377-TW) today announced its new server platform lineup featuring the sixth-generation AMD EPYC™ server processors. Leveraging SP7 and SP8 platform architectures, the solutions support modern data center needs in AI, cloud computing, high-performance computing (HPC), virtualization, and mission-critical workloads.

MSI stated that the SP7 platform supports up to 256 cores and 512 threads per processor, ideal for high-density, high-performance deployment environments. The SP8 platform supports up to 128 cores and 256 threads per processor, offering a balanced choice between performance, density, and efficiency for mainstream deployments.

MSI’s latest server platform lineup spans liquid-cooled GPU servers, 19-inch and 21-inch DC-MHS multi-node platforms, and enterprise-grade servers. During AMD Advancing AI 2026, MSI will showcase the CD270-S4091-X2 multi-node server, highlighting the latest expansion of its sixth-generation AMD EPYC server product line.

Hsu Yen-wen, General Manager of Enterprise Platform Solutions at MSI, noted that data center architectures are increasingly shifting toward workload-optimized models, requiring customers to precisely select system platforms based on specific deployment goals.

Hsu emphasized that MSI’s new server platforms powered by sixth-generation AMD EPYC processors offer diverse choices that balance performance, density, efficiency, and serviceability, helping customers build more flexible data center environments as their infrastructure evolves.

Dan McNamara, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Computing and Enterprise AI at AMD, stated that AMD’s enterprise AI technology has become a trusted foundation for modern data centers. The sixth-generation AMD EPYC processors further extend this leadership by delivering next-generation performance, efficiency, and scalability.

McNamara added that as enterprises continue to scale their cloud, HPC, virtualization, and AI workloads, EPYC processors provide a reliable foundation for AI performance, infrastructure integration, and innovation. They also continue to deliver leading general-purpose computing capabilities for mission-critical applications and workloads that support daily enterprise operations.
