GX-KY (6617-TW), a subsidiary of GX-KY, has obtained the trial drug approval from the Department of Agriculture and Animal and Plant Quarantine Inspection for its animal drug 'Si Pei Kang' (main component p-TLS) used to treat malignant canine melanoma. Two exploratory prospective case studies on the application of the drug in horse tumor treatment have been accepted for publication in two international journals, and the company plans to expand related clinical research to Australia.
GX-KY pointed out that the two exploratory prospective case studies on the use of Si Pei Kang for horse tumor treatment have been accepted for publication in the international journals 'Veterinary and Animal Science' under Elsevier and 'Equine Veterinary Education (EVE)' under Wiley.
GX-KY explained that the first study included cases of horses suffering from melanoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and sarcoma, evaluating the clinical response, safety, and tolerability after p-TLS intratumoral injection; the second study focused on horses receiving p-TLS intratumoral injection treatment, and tracked treatment efficacy through clinical examination, tumor measurement, ultrasound evaluation, and continuous imaging.
GX-KY mentioned that the two studies verified the therapeutic potential of p-TLS in various superficial tumors and melanoma, providing scientific evidence for subsequent cross-species tumor indications and the promotion of international clinical layout.
GX-KY stated that the research results were presented at the Global Equine Disease Conference in January this year, and the company plans to further expand the research to Australia. In addition to continuing to expand canine tumor research, the company will also add feline and other animal tumor indications.
