Bosheng Biomedical (6733-TW) announced today (27th) the signing of a 'Biphasic Cartilage and Bone Repair Patent and Technology Transfer Agreement' with the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) and National Taiwan University Hospital, acquiring full rights to the patents and technologies related to RevoCart. This marks the formal acquisition of complete intellectual property rights necessary for the product’s global commercialization, establishing a key milestone for future international licensing and global market expansion.

Bosheng stated that RevoCart is a biphasic cartilage and bone repair technology jointly developed by ITRI and National Taiwan University Hospital. In 2008, Exactech Taiwan acquired the exclusive global license and initiated product development.

After Bosheng acquired Exactech Taiwan in 2017, it inherited the related technologies and product development efforts, continuously investing in process optimization, regulatory validation, and market-oriented patent portfolio development. In 2020, it obtained a medical device license from Taiwan’s Ministry of Health and Welfare, and launched sales in domestic medical institutions in 2021, gradually building clinical application results and a market foundation.

Regarding overseas markets, Bosheng began international expansion in 2021 and has since obtained licenses in six countries and the Hong Kong and Macau Special Administrative Regions. In 2025, the company secured one U.S. utility patent.

Bosheng stated that with the completion of this patent and technology transfer, it now holds full intellectual property rights, enabling further refinement of its product commercialization strategy and global market deployment. Chairman Der-Li Chen noted that the company will continue to deepen product development, accumulate clinical evidence, and expand international collaborations.
