Largan Precision Reports H1 2026 EPS of NT$82.35, Dividend of NT$41.5, Payout Ratio 50.39%

Optical components manufacturer Largan Precision (3008-TW) has continued to aggressively acquire land in the Taichung Industrial Park. Today (27th), the board of directors approved the dividend distribution plan for the first half of 2026, announcing a dividend of NT$41.5 per share. Following Largan's annual calendar, the ex-dividend trading date for the first-half dividend will be August 13.

Today, Largan approved its financial report for H1 2026, with revenue of NT$29.209 billion, gross margin of 49.41%, post-tax net profit of NT$10.793 billion, and earnings per share (EPS) of NT$82.35. With a dividend of NT$41.5 per share, the earnings payout ratio stands at 50.39%. This dividend exceeds last year's interim dividend of NT$28.

The board also resolved to merge its subsidiary, Taiyang Technology, through a share issuance. Largan directly holds 49.37% of Taiyang Technology, and the merger will be executed at an exchange ratio of 0.03 shares of Largan for each share of Taiyang. Taiyang Technology primarily engages in the R&D, design, and manufacturing of optoelectronic components such as voice coil motors (VCM) and automotive lenses, and will be integrated into Largan following the merger.

To facilitate the merger with Taiyang Technology, Largan will issue 819,645 new shares for capital increase. The share exchange reference date is tentatively set for December 4, 2026.

Since the end of June, Largan has been continuously acquiring industrial land within the Taichung Industrial Park. On the 24th, it purchased a 3,065-ping plot of land and factory from Yatai Refrigeration Company on Industrial Zone 2nd Road for NT$1.38 billion. Within a month, Largan has now invested a total of NT$2.569 billion to acquire three plots of land in the Taichung Industrial Park. Additionally, Largan has been actively advancing its new business in co-packaged optics (CPO) this year. The market believes that Largan's recent land acquisitions are strategic moves to prepare for its new business ventures.
