Amid the peak summer travel season, outbound travel demand remains strong. As international oil prices declined on Friday, airline stocks saw buying interest in early trading on Monday (27th), with China Airlines (2610-TW), EVA Airways (2618-TW), and Tiger Airways Taiwan (6757-TW) each rising 2%. Starlux Airlines (2646-TW) also held steady above the flat line.

China Airlines reported steady growth in third-quarter bookings, with passenger operations continuing to heat up. To meet diverse and flexible travel needs, the airline increased flights on the Taoyuan–Busan route to 21 weekly starting July 24.

EVA Airways stated that to meet strong tourism and independent traveler demand, it has increased flights on the Taoyuan–Busan route by five per week since July, raising total frequency from seven to 12 weekly. The Taoyuan–Kobe route has also been expanded to 10 weekly flights, and during the summer peak, the Taoyuan–Brisbane route has been increased to four weekly flights.

Starlux Airlines announced that ticket sales for the Taichung–Sapporo route began on July 1, with the inaugural flight scheduled for October 2. Initially operating five weekly flights using the A321neo aircraft, this expansion increases Starlux’s Taichung departure destinations to 11.

Additionally, Starlux’s first European route, Taipei–Prague, will launch on August 1, operating three weekly flights.

On the cargo side, China Airlines noted that strong shipments of AI, semiconductor, and ICT-related products are driving robust freight demand, with expectations for steady performance across major Asian export markets.
