ABC-KY (6598-TW) exhibited its flagship BioCode MDx-3000 high-throughput molecular diagnostics platform at the American Association for Clinical Chemistry (AACC) Annual Scientific Meeting and Clinical Laboratory Expo (ADLM), marking significant progress in its North American expansion and propelling its stock to rise over half a limit up on July 27.

The stock opened flat at NT$27.7 in early trading and climbed as high as NT$29.9, surpassing half of the daily price limit, as investors reacted positively to the company's momentum. Trading volume exceeded 400 lots, with the share price attempting to stabilize above the 5-day moving average.

In addition to the BioCode MDx-3000 platform, ABC-KY also displayed its respiratory pathogen panel (RPP), gastrointestinal pathogen panel (GPP), sexually transmitted infection (STI) testing products, and the automated sample pre-processing solution MDx-PREP.

ABC-KY noted that respiratory and gastrointestinal testing represent the two largest segments in the infectious disease diagnostics market, where large laboratories require high-throughput, highly automated, and multiplex testing capabilities as essential operational needs. Recently, the company successfully transitioned a major laboratory client—previously using its RPP—to also adopt its GPP testing on the ABC-KY platform, enhancing equipment stickiness and driving recurring revenue from consumables.

Fueled by dual growth engines in human medical diagnostics and animal diagnostics, ABC-KY reported cumulative revenue of NT$430 million in the first half of the year, an 81% year-on-year increase.
