Yageo (2327-TW), a major passive components manufacturer, and Delta Electronics (2308-TW), a leading power solutions provider, are set to hold their earnings briefings on July 29 and 30, respectively. However, on Monday (28th), amid a broader market plunge of over 2,000 points, both companies' stocks were hammered to their daily lower limits, undermining pre-earnings optimism.
Yageo will hold its earnings call on July 29. Investors are closely watching its Q2 profitability, second-half business outlook, AI-related demand, product lead times and pricing trends, as well as capacity utilization.
The company reported record-breaking quarterly revenue of NT$44.456 billion in Q2, up 16.5% quarter-on-quarter and 35.7% year-on-year. Yageo expects both gross and operating margins to expand. Its self-reported net profit for May had already doubled year-on-year. For the first half of the year, Yageo achieved revenue of NT$82.622 billion, up 29.4% year-on-year.
Despite strong earnings momentum, robust AI demand, and product price hikes, Yageo’s stock continued to fall sharply today, hitting the daily lower limit at NT$563—the lowest level in two months and approaching support at the 200-day moving average. Compared to its July peak of NT$1,220, the stock has lost 54% in value in less than a month.
Delta Electronics, meanwhile, will announce its financial results on July 29 and hold its earnings call on July 30. Although market expectations remain high for record-breaking profits, the stock has weakened significantly. After reaching an all-time high of NT$2,585 on May 27, the stock has corrected by nearly NT$1,000 over two months—a decline of almost 39%.
For Delta’s earnings call, investors are focused on whether AI demand remains resilient, the latest progress on AI power and thermal management solutions, and how the company is managing margin pressures amid rising costs. Pricing strategies and cost pass-through will be key points of scrutiny for institutional investors.
