On the 29th, the Taiwan stock market experienced strong selling pressure, with intraday trading volume exceeding 2,000 points. Not only did large-cap stocks fall, but blue chips also saw heavy selling, with 15 stocks hitting the limit down. The number of blue chips also decreased to 37, which, when calculated from the peak of 56 on June 25, means a significant decrease of 19 in nearly a month, making it a heavily affected area for capital withdrawal.

This wave of decline in the Taiwan stock market was influenced by factors such as the reduction of leverage in Korean stocks and expectations of a rate hike by the U.S. Federal Reserve. From the high of 48,218 points, it has fallen to today's low of 39,495 points, with a decline of about 18%. In terms of margin trading balance, as of yesterday, it was still 5,455 billion yuan, compared to the peak of 6,313 billion yuan, a decrease of about 13.6%.

As expectations of a rate hike lead to capital withdrawal from high-risk assets, blue chips have become one of the primary targets for withdrawals. Today, stocks such as Hong Jin (7769-TW), Wang Xi (6223-TW), Chuang Yi (3443-TW), Shi Xin - KY (3661-TW), Hong Su (3131-TW), Mao Lian - KY (3665-TW), Zhibang (2345-TW), Lian Ya (3081-TW), Qun Lian (8299-TW), Chuang Xin Service (7828-TW), Lian You Metal - Chuang (7610-TW), Fu Shida (6805-TW), Guang Sheng (6442-TW), Jing Teng (7751-TW), and Tai Yao (6274-TW) all hit the limit down.

Additionally, Yong Zhi Technology (6683-TW), Qin Cheng (8210-TW), Sheng Hui * (5536-TW), and Han Tang (2404-TW) also lost the 1,000 yuan mark today, exiting the blue-chip club.
