On the 29th, Taiwan's stock market continued its sharp decline from the previous trading session, plunging 1,564 points or 3.76%, under heavy selling pressure from semiconductor and electronics heavyweight stocks. Trading volume slightly increased to 1.08 trillion TWD, with the three major institutional investors collectively selling 31.757 billion TWD. Market analysts noted that today's market was primarily pressured by large-cap stocks, with semiconductor, memory, and passive component sectors broadly under pressure. Funds rotated into select automotive, aviation, and container shipping stocks for safe-haven plays. Although the index recovered above the 40,000-point level by the close, there remains no clear sign of stabilization in the short term. The market will now watch whether the 40,000-point level and today's low can form solid support.
