Changxin (8438-TW), a manufacturer of specialty chemicals and a metal recycling and reuse company, announced its latest profit information on June 29, 2026. The company's after-tax profit for the first half of 2026 was 1.51 billion yuan, a 2.39-fold increase year-on-year, surpassing the full-year after-tax profit of 1.47 billion yuan in 2025. The earnings per share (EPS) for the first half of 2026 was 2.16 yuan.
Changxin's revenue for the second quarter of 2026 was 1.325 billion yuan, with a gross margin of 14.32%, consistent with the first quarter. The gross margin increased by 1.62 percentage points year-on-year. The after-tax profit for the quarter was 79.72 million yuan, setting a new high, with an 11.72% increase from the previous quarter and a 6.58-fold increase year-on-year. The EPS for the quarter was 1.14 yuan.
Changxin's revenue for the first half of 2026 was 2.492 billion yuan, with a gross margin of 14.32%, an increase of 1.27 percentage points year-on-year. The after-tax profit for the first half of 2026 was 1.51 billion yuan, a 2.39-fold increase year-on-year, surpassing the full-year after-tax profit of 1.47 billion yuan in 2025. The EPS for the first half of 2026 was 2.16 yuan.
The sustained high international copper prices and the robust demand in the electronics industry, particularly for PCB, are expected to contribute to Changxin's better performance in the second half of the year compared to the first half.
Changxin's Vietnam plant completed equipment installation by the end of 2025 and will introduce trial production. To meet the increasing demand for precision etching in the electronics industry driven by the AI wave, Changxin is actively developing specialty chemicals for AI circuit boards and building a supply system in Southeast Asia. In addition to establishing the Vietnam plant, the company is also planning to enter the Thai market to meet the global layout of its customers.
