OTC Index Plunges 5.16% but Fundamentals Remain Strong as Nearly 70% of Listed Companies Report Revenue Growth

Global stock markets and Taiwan's equity market have plunged sharply in recent days, with today's (29th) market closing nearly losing the 40,000-point benchmark. In response, the GreTai Securities Market urges investors to rationally assess recent market volatility, as the fundamentals of OTC-listed companies remain robust. A majority of firms have reported revenue growth, and cash dividend performance has been strong. Amid significant global market volatility affecting Taiwan's market performance, the GreTai index closed at 334.24 points on July 29, down 18.18 points (5.16%) from the previous day. Reviewing the cumulative revenue performance for the first six months of the year, among 891 OTC-listed companies, approximately 68.4% reported year-on-year revenue growth. Regarding dividend payouts, as of July 28, 607 companies have resolved to distribute last year's cash dividends, accounting for about 68.1% of the 891 companies that have announced results. Among them, 322 companies distributed cash dividends of more than 2 TWD per share, representing approximately 36.1%. Additionally, 51 OTC companies have passed board resolutions to implement treasury stock programs, and 325 OTC companies have already held investor briefings to actively explain their corporate and industry conditions.
