PChome Logistics, a subsidiary of Taiwan's leading B2C e-commerce company PChome Online (8454-TW), announced today (30th) the recruitment of 100 truck and motorcycle delivery drivers across Taiwan, with flexible part-time positions also available. The average monthly salary for delivery drivers across Taiwan is close to NT$70,000, and with year-end bonuses included, top-performing drivers can achieve an annual income exceeding NT$1 million.
PChome Online stated that due to PChome Logistics' parcel volume nearly doubling compared to the same period last year, the company is now recruiting 100 additional truck and motorcycle delivery drivers nationwide.
The recruitment is evenly split between truck and motorcycle positions, with the highest demand in the Taipei and New Taipei areas. PChome Logistics noted that recent social discussions around delivery-specific legislation have highlighted concerns regarding delivery workers' income, protections, and operational costs. Top-performing drivers at PChome Logistics can earn up to NT$90,000 per month. For example, a driver delivering approximately 3,000 parcels per month (around 150 parcels daily) can earn about NT$70,000 monthly, though actual income varies based on delivery volume, attendance, and performance.
PChome Logistics further explained that for delivery workers, actual income should not be assessed solely on per-parcel compensation but must also consider stable parcel volume, predictable schedules, and operational costs such as vehicle, fuel, maintenance, and insurance expenses. Unlike freelance delivery models where workers bear equipment and vehicle maintenance costs, full-time logistics drivers typically receive company-provided vehicles and work equipment.
Currently, PChome Logistics provides official vehicles and motorcycles, covering fuel, maintenance, tires, depreciation, insurance, and mobile data costs, enabling delivery personnel to better predict their actual take-home pay.
In contrast to food delivery services that offer flexible order acceptance, e-commerce parcel delivery operates on fixed routes within designated areas with relatively stable volume. Aside from major shopping events like 618 and Double 11, daily delivery volumes remain relatively stable. Drivers can arrange delivery sequences based on parcel volume, traffic conditions, and service hours. Full-time drivers follow a shift system, primarily working from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with no night deliveries. Monthly shift schedules are published by the 25th of the preceding month.
Established about six years ago, PChome Logistics reports an average employee tenure of three years. The company emphasized that actual delivery income depends not only on per-parcel earnings but also on consistent daily volume, personal cost burdens, and the ability to plan work hours in advance. To attract talent with experience in food delivery, express delivery, or regional logistics, the company offers a three-day mentorship training program where senior drivers accompany and train new hires on parcel handover, vehicle inspection, route planning, system operation, and customer service.
This recruitment drive includes both full-time and flexible part-time positions, offering diverse options for individuals with varying lifestyle needs. Applicants must be at least 20 years old and hold the appropriate driving licenses—professional driver’s license for truck positions and heavy motorcycle license for motorcycle positions.
