Huaan Subsidiary Signs MOU with Swiss Medvisis to Jointly Advance AI-Driven Drug Development

Yuan Hua AI Medicine, a subsidiary of Huaan (6657-TW), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Medvisis, a Swiss company specializing in pharmaceutical development and commercialization. Going forward, the two parties plan to jointly advance promising drug candidates to the next stage of development based on Yuan Hua AI Medicine’s Smart Synergy Platform, collectively promoting AI-driven drug discovery and forging a new biotech connection between Taiwan and Switzerland.

Yuan Hua AI Medicine noted that Medvisis possesses deep expertise in European healthcare systems and hospitals. By leveraging Yuan Hua’s Smart Synergy Platform, the collaboration will not only accelerate Investigator-Initiated Trials (IITs) for validation and confirmation in Europe and the U.S., but also enable the discovery of new indications for existing approved drugs in disease areas familiar to Medvisis, thereby enabling rapid commercialization of new therapeutic uses.

Furthermore, Yuan Hua AI Medicine highlighted that Medvisis’s strong relationships with major pharmaceutical companies in Switzerland and across Europe will help accelerate the licensing process for Yuan Hua’s drug candidates. The company is also comprehensively advancing high-value intellectual property (IP) strategy for its R&D outcomes, laying a solid foundation for future international licensing agreements.

General Manager Hsu Yin-Hsiung stated that the Smart Synergy Platform is not merely a single AI model or data analytics tool, but an end-to-end drug development pipeline that integrates multimodal data and diverse AI technologies. It enables a scalable R&D advancement framework—from small-molecule candidate exploration to new indication assessment. The company will continue to deepen integration between this platform and the global biopharma industry chain, opening a new blue ocean in AI-driven drug development.
