Freight forwarder Chung Fei Logistics hosted its 55th-anniversary Supply Chain Summit, focusing on the new global logistics transformation driven by AI. Chung Fei Chairman Chien Wen-Chun stated, "The core of AI is chips, but the implementation of AI relies on logistics."

Chien emphasized that AI is the next major challenge in global supply chain management. Leveraging its core capabilities in global transportation, trade compliance, and bonded warehousing, Chung Fei can assist enterprises in securely and efficiently transporting AI infrastructure from Asian manufacturing bases to data centers worldwide.

With the global transportation and deployment of AI infrastructure, the central theme of Chung Fei's 55th-anniversary summit was "Beyond the Next Horizon." Over 150 customers and supply chain experts gathered in Taipei for the event.

Market estimates project that global data center demand will approach nearly three times current levels by 2030, with total corporate investment in new and upgraded data centers nearing $7 trillion.

Chung Fei further noted that AI infrastructure encompasses thousands of equipment and components required to build AI data centers. These components are manufactured across different countries and must undergo international shipping, customs clearance, warehousing, and final delivery before AI data centers can become operational.

In particular, AI infrastructure involves large-scale, high-value, and highly sophisticated equipment, placing greater demands on global logistics, trade compliance, and supply chain coordination.

Chung Fei CEO Shih Chen-Sheng stated that the importance of AI to the information industry is akin to the Industrial Revolution's impact on manufacturing. He expressed optimism that AI infrastructure is becoming one of the fastest-growing demands in the high-value air cargo market, driving sustained increases in logistics demand between Asian manufacturing hubs and global hyperscale data centers.
