Amid the surge, the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE) and Taipei Exchange (TPEx) announced trading suspensions for 8 additional stocks: 4 listed and 4 over-the-counter (OTC) securities. The affected stocks are Nanya Technology (3046-TW), Hoshentang (3026-TW), Taisung (4169-TW), APM (6531-TW), Kington Technology (3624-TW), United Silicon (6182-TW), Zhuxing Technology (6739-TW), and Innovation Service (7828-TW). Nanya Technology will be suspended from next Monday (August 3) until August 18—the longest period—while the other seven will be halted until August 14.
The newly suspended stocks span multiple sectors, including ABF substrates, passive components, silicon wafers, semiconductor equipment, and biotechnology. Hoshentang’s suspension is an extension, now lasting until August 14.
Nanya Technology was suspended because its closing price dropped 26.89% over the past six trading days, with a price difference of NT$190.00 between the closing prices from six trading days ago to two trading days ago. On July 30, day-trading volume accounted for 70.69% of the total volume over the past six trading days, and 79.4% of that day’s total trading volume was day-traded.
Hoshentang was suspended due to a 41.27% cumulative decline in closing price over six trading days and a price difference of NT$190.
Taisung was suspended after a 48.42% drop in closing price and a price difference of NT$82.5.
APM was suspended due to a 28.15% decline in closing price and a price difference of NT$191.
Kington Technology was suspended because its final traded price fell 37.6% over six trading days. On the suspension day, Uni-President Securities accounted for 32.22% of total sell volume, and Morgan Stanley accounted for 31.9% of total buy volume.
United Silicon was suspended after a 32.9% drop in final traded price over six trading days.
Zhuxing Technology was suspended due to a 34.8% decline in final traded price.
Innovation Service was suspended after a 31.99% drop in final traded price over the past six trading days, including the current day.
