Advantech (2395-TW), a leading manufacturer of industrial computers, announced its second-quarter financial report today (31st). The company posted a net profit of NT$4.518 billion, representing a 35.50% increase from the previous quarter and a 127.15% surge year-on-year, with earnings per share (EPS) reaching NT$5.20—the highest in company history. For the first half of the year, cumulative net profit reached NT$7.852 billion, up 66.25% year-on-year, with EPS at NT$9.05, also a record high.
Second-quarter revenue totaled NT$26.126 billion, up 28.16% quarter-on-quarter and 46.48% year-on-year. Gross margin stood at 37.68%, down 1.46 percentage points from the previous quarter and 2.31 points from the same period last year. Operating profit reached NT$5.127 billion, up 37.52% quarter-on-quarter and 64.17% year-on-year, with operating margin improving to 19.63%, up 1.33 points from the previous quarter and 2.11 points from the same period last year.
Advantech attributed its strong first-half performance to accelerated global customer investments in AI, which drove sustained demand for related applications. Although gross margin declined slightly in Q2 due to short-term fluctuations in key raw material prices, the company emphasized that the significant revenue scale expansion enabled both quarterly and first-half profits to achieve robust growth and set new historical highs.
First-half revenue totaled NT$46.512 billion, up 32.18% year-on-year. Gross margin was 38.32%, down 1.92 percentage points year-on-year. Operating profit reached NT$8.856 billion, up 46.44% year-on-year, with operating margin at 19.04%, up 1.85 points from the same period last year.
By region, North America, Europe, and emerging markets each saw approximately 30% year-on-year growth. China grew 51%, North Asia 24%, and Taiwan surged 67%. Across business groups, Intelligent Systems grew 34% year-on-year, IoT Automation 19%, Embedded Business Group 28%, and Intelligent Services achieved single-digit year-on-year growth.
